about us

Working to help you sustain your housing and promote your independence

"You are a valuable organisation and do a very good job. You make a big difference to my life and others, keep it up! 10 out of 10"

"You all seem sussed, committed, bonded, very decent people"

"You took me for who I am"

We are a local charity offering time-limited housing related support to help people within Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire avoid homelessness & achieve independence.

We provide a flexible, home visit based service to people over the age of 16 living in local authority, housing association, owner occupied or private rented accommodation.

We offer generic floating support services to meet a range of different needs as well as more specialised projects.

In Buckinghamshire we provide a floating support service across the county in a consortium with Bromford and PACT which is known as Bucks Floating Support Service (BFSS).

Why "Floating" Support?

  • It moves from property to property according to who needs it.
  • It moves with you if you move to another property.
  • It varies in intensity according to your level and type of need.

We work with the support of a wide variety of other agencies from statutory, voluntary and housing sectors as well as community service organisations.

How do we Work?

If you are eligible for our services, we will visit you either in your home or in the community to assess your needs. If, on the basis of the assessment, we can offer you a service, we will create a support plan with you.

This plan will set out how we will work together (and with any other services) to achieve your goals of sustaining your housing and promoting your independence.

We will review the plan at least every 3 months (or whenever you wish to) to make sure we are keeping on track. We can work with you for a maximum of two years, although frequently our support is needed for a much shorter period than this.

We see you as being an active agent in defining your needs and as someone with the potential for increased independence over time.
